About "Last Night"

It's been a while, but Keira Knightly has resurfaced with what looks like a chick flick: Last Night. Here's the plot, based on the trailer: Keira is a boring nitwit whose oddly-bearded ex-BF takes her out to dinner while her husband, Marcus Wright, goes to Philadelphia of all places with someone who may be Eva Mendes. The rest...doesn't matter.

Yes please:

Where's Keira?

We feel like there's not enough Keira Knightley sightings in our daily reviews.

Here's one via Suicide Blonde.

Keira + Abs = Win

We have not seen Keira Knightley in, like, forever. So here's a blast from the past.

Keira from Tatler

When was the last time Keira Knightly popped around? Been forever, it seems. Here she was via Tatler in September 2008.

"What frightens her about being famous..."

Probably being made to put on hideous pink monstrosities like the one she's wearing here.

Brilliant Indeed: Keira

In March we saw a couple of postings about Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller getting naughty in a period (yaaaaawn) romance called The Edge of Love.

Here's a big-ass version of the poster, in case some of you were still tempted to focus on Sienna Miller instead of Miss Knightley.

Eyebrow News: Huffington Post Weighs In, Offers Poll

It's not everyday that a mainstream source covers the eyebrow world, but today Huffington Post's Verena von Pfetten (isn't that the name of a character from a Stefan Zweig novel?) covers the bushy eyebrow's comeback. But to be clear, she's not talking about untamed madness, she's talking about Hollywood control. Which is good.

Here are a few of the pics from the slideshow...faves of ours, as you all know. We're just sad we weren't consulted as media experts on this topic. Media bias I guess.

Anne Hathaway:

Camilla Belle:

Hilary Rhoda:

Jordana Brewster:

Keira Knightley:

And an all-time favorite, who is launching a clothing line or something, Lauren Bush:

Make sure you take the poll at the HuffPo site...and leave a comment about how great Blu's Eyebrow Blog is.

Keira and the Brows of Love: Part II

Yesterday we saw Keira Knightly and her eyebrows in The Edge of Love. We have more pics from the trailer, as promised, but we also decided to show you a non-brow screen-cap. It's Sienna Miller shedding her towel and climbing in a forbidden bath with Keira.

Sienna's brows aren't awful, but next to Knightley's they pale. Even upside-down:

Keira and the Brows of Love: Part I

You are not going to believe this, but there's a film which is a British period piece starring Keira Knightly as a bewitching socialite involved in a scandalous story of betrayal.

We agree – that is pure originality. Never been done. Next thing you know, Hugh Grant will be making romantic comedies. Meanwhile though, she looks super, as always, and we grabbed no fewer than ten stills from the hi-def trailer. So here are the first five, the next five on their way tomorrow.

The flick is called The Edge of Love, and tells a trumped up version of part of poet Dylan Thomas's life. It co-stars Sienna Miller whose brows aren't terrible here – but you can decide for yourself tomorrow.

Keira's Taut Psychological Thriller

Well, we didn't see Keira Knightley in The Jacket, but some ad said it was a "taut psychological thriller." Would it be psychologically thrilling if it weren't "taut"? No. That's like being a "devout Catholic." All or nothing.

Yahoo!'s Sexy Eyebrow Celebs Galore

We are so totally, digitally close to the interblags that we noticed something on our Yahoo! home page. It was a little box that had links to the most "popular mobile searches: Celebrities."

And we noticed that most of the celebrities (all of whom are women) were people you've seen on this very blog. So let's check them out:

Kim Kardashian:

Hayden Panettiere:

Mila Kunis:

Keira Knightley:

And here's one whom we haven't featured, but who (in this photo anyway) just made the cut...

Jessica Alba:

Alas, not all the popular mobilely searched celebs made the cut. We're going to have to leave you without a photo of Jessica Simpson's eyebrows. They just aren't up to par.

Hope you liked the others! Click 'em all.

No More Bride of Frankenstein: Keira Opens The Duchess

We got on Keira Knightley's case for her scary hair-do in The Duchess, but at the film's red carpet opening she made up for the fright.

These images are huge. Click 'em.

Keira Knightley Channels the Night Porter

Interview featured Keira Knightley on a beautiful blue satin sofa (at bottom) but also with gloves and suspenders. Which we like. It reminds us of Liliana Cavalli in The Night Porter. In a good way.

Keira Knightley is The Duchess

This girl is everywhere. And you know you wanna see more...of her eyebrows. So here you go.

Keira Knightley appears in the upcoming costumer The Duchess as the 18th century's Georgiana of Devonshire. Here are the first video caps from the hi-def trailer, courtesy of your pals at Blu's Eyebrow Blog.

Scroll-down Mezzotint Bonus: As Gainsborough's portrait of the real Georgiana (below) shows, Keira's version looks more like the Bride of Frankenstein than the Duchess of Devonshire.

Smorgasbrows: Keira, Filippa and Natalia

Much ado about something over at the eBeauty Daily blog! It all started when Keira Knightley showed up on the cover of the July, 2006 issue of InStyle Magazine. Blogger Christina Jones opened a can of tweezer-frenzied whupass on Keira, and now, 18 months and 41 comments later, the flames continue.

One guy complained that the people commenting on some actress's eyebrows need to "get a hobby." Dude! This is our hobby!

Meanwhile. Christina showed a Euclidean approach to Keira's unkempt brows:

All that haggling made us want to see a magazine cover with a little less eyebrow controversy. Say hello to Filippa Hamilton and Marie Claire:

Finally, is that Natalia Vodianova hiding behind some outrageous makeup? Hell yeah:

Keira Knightley's Atonement

So there's a new movie on the way: Atonement. It stars Keira Knightly as a girl with awesome eyebrows who is tall and thin and soaking wet. She is also more or less dazed and confused, as you can see from the video stills I grabbed off the trailer (below).

The plot, as near as I can tell, goes like this. There's a British guy and this British girl, and another British girl. Something terrible happens, and then, later, something else terrible happens. Then, something wonderful happens. But something terrible happens to undo all this wonderfulness. At the end, at long lost - redemption! I mean, atonement. Whatever.

Look, just check out the eyebrows. What do I look like, Roger Ebert?

Don't answer that!

More Keira, This Time With Social Commentary

Ms. Knightley has criticized the media for focusing on her figure and not on her films. Right on, Keira. Fight the power!

Meanwhile, we would like to reassure the actress that her films are subjects of great fascination and serious contemplation for us, and that we would never stoop to mere physi- whoa! More photos! Check it out!!!

Scroll-down editorial bonus:

The very Englishly named Jasper Gerard has written an outstanding column in the Telegraph, followed by a vituperative whinging criticism of Knightley by someone named Becky Something, who refers to Knightley as a "plank of wood." And best of all are the comments from readers. One of them points out - quite rightly - that it's OK for critics to worry about an actress getting too thin, but off limits to point out when they get too fat.

We Like The Empire Waste

One of our eyebrow poster girls, Keira Knightley, is under fire for being too thin. She showed up in Venice for some film fest looking mighty slight, even at 5'7". The Daily Mail was outraged.

Click for larger images.

Know what? We don't mind the skinny waist. It's the skinny eyebrows we fear. And so far, she's OK in that department.

"Cupid, scroll down your bonus":

In the wretched flick King Arthur, Keira impaled more than one hairy brute with an arrow or two. For the movie publicity, however, they felt the need to de-Amazon her.

For shame!
We like her without the extra curve. Before and after PhotoShopping:
