Linda Evangelista with a Cancer Stick

We've said it before. We'll say it again.

Smoking is a horrible, dirty habit that is bad for you.

Also, it's freakin' hot.

Linda Evangelista.

Emily Ratajkowski: Treats Indeed

Emily Ratajkowski apparently was a kid TV actress on Nickelodeon.

Fast forward.

Emily Ratajkowski is an insanely endowed model with nice eyebrows

The photos below appear in Treats! Magazine (Spring 2012) and these great scans are courtesy of a fun blog called mmm...Models. The photos are by Steve Shaw

18 year-old Barbara Palvin is a Hungarian fashion model.

What the hell else do you need to know?

Nothing. Except maybe that this photo is by Liz Collins.

Throwback Thursday: In Between Liz

We see a lot of young Liz Taylor, looking glamorous and sweet. Then we see a lot of older Liz Taylor, hanging on to Jocko's arm or swaying in her chair on the set of Larry King Live.

In between, was the Liz Taylor seen on the cover of Modern Screen magazine circa early 1971. Still rockin' the brows.

Most Perfect Ass Ever? Maybe. Good Brows Too!

There are a lot of Mexican actresses we've never heard of. Here's one now:

Andrea Garcia.

This is how she appeared in a magazine called H Extremo. We don't know anything about her except that
  • she's in her mid-30s
  • is the daughter of a Dominican
  • is the grand-daughter of a Spaniard
  • has a perfect, perfect ass.

Also, she holds up her hair a lot, and has decent eyebrows.

Cha cha cha!

Scroll-down library research bonus: Here's a list of every actress who has appeared in H Extremo since 2006.

Searching Siberia...for Eyebrows?

We saw a one-hour long documentary recently, called Searching Siberia. This pair of American modeling talent scouts ride the Trans-Siberian Railway every year and visit five Russian cities, where they do casting calls for young teenage girls who want to be "discovered" and become fashion models.

A few of the girls actually make it, although obviously the majority are doomed to a life of living in a Soviet-era apartment block on the tundra.

Although it's not a well-made film, we enjoyed Searching Siberia for a couple of reasons. For one thing, every time the scouts arrive in a new city, there is a ballroom filled with dozens of skinny, bikini-clad teenagers waiting for them. That doesn't get old. Second, though, in the same way that there are a few hidden modeling gems in those crowds of girls, there are a handful of awesome eyebrows waiting to be unleashed.

Here are some screenshots:

And here's a two minute + trailer for the film:

Throwback Thursday, Showcasing Vintage Brows

Over time, we've accumulated a pretty big backlog of vintage photos: pinups, centerfolds, amateurs, models, and actresses. We'll be posting them regularly, starting today, in a series of posts we'll call (drumroll):

Throwback Thursday

At least one each week...sometimes many - and some of them we'll know by name, some of them not.

But all of them have great eyebrows!

Sheila Rudy

She needs a bra that matches those awesome panties...but who would own such a thing?

Lari Lane gets wet in Playboy, 1958:

The "woman next door":

Edy Williams
She hasn't been seen since her 1995 appearance in Snatch Masters 6!:

Anna Noble
Her claim to fame was as a faux-Bond girl, appearing only during the credit sequence of The Spy Who Loved Me.

And a classic vintage pin-up:

More next week!! And every Thursday...

A More Traditional New Year for Some

Last week we started the year all dirty and whatnot, with a celebrity porn story.

This week we're backtracking and bringing you a more traditional way to welcome 2012: with Sports Illustrated swimsuit calendar models. We picked the three who are most rockin' the eyebrows.

They are Hilary Rhoda:

Alyssa Miller:

And in her first appearance on this blog, Julie Henderson:

Who's your favorite?

We're partial to Ms. Miller.

Vorfas: Libertarian Magazine

Here's an off-cycle posting, just for fun.

All the Occupy Wall Street stuff this month has us reading and talking about politics more than usual...and we saw the photo below and asked:

What does this image have to do with libertarianism?

No clue. But Libertarian Magazine chose it for the cover (a wise choice!), so we figure there is some connection.

Whatever it is, the photographer Vorfas made it happen, and for that, we are grateful.

Book of Breasts. And Brows.

German tit publishers Taschen produced a volume called The Big Book of Breasts. It should probably be called, The Book of Big Breasts.

Anyway, skimming a review, we were taken by the brows, not the boobs, on these three ladies. Painted on for the most part, they make a photo-artistic statement. But we know, as usual, we're the only people whose gaze hit the image above the nipple.

An unknown model:

Terry Wigmore:

Someone known only as Honeybee:

Scroll-down random bonus because it's been a while: More Terry Wigmore.

About "Last Night"

It's been a while, but Keira Knightly has resurfaced with what looks like a chick flick: Last Night. Here's the plot, based on the trailer: Keira is a boring nitwit whose oddly-bearded ex-BF takes her out to dinner while her husband, Marcus Wright, goes to Philadelphia of all places with someone who may be Eva Mendes. The rest...doesn't matter.

Yes please:

Ta daa!

Are Nuns Sexy? This One May Be

Check out Lara Stone as captured by Cedric Duchet in Vogue Paris (January 2010).

We think the whole "sexy nun" thing is a bit done, but we certainly want anyone who's game to give it a shot if they can make it work somehow. The eyebrows contrast nicely here with the white coif (look it up) and Lara's fair skin.

And middle finger.

If you're into the whole sexy nun thing, check out our other blog Hot or Dumb. We'll be posting a sexy nun photo there very soon, but there are a few other themes up there already, which you may enjoy...

Brows by Kunis. Dress by Owens.

We haven't seen The Black Swan, not that we're prejudiced. Some of our best friends are black [swans].

Anyway, Mila Kunis popped up in the Los Angeles Times Magazine in February (cover shot is above), and she is rocking a Rick Owens dress in this second photo.

The brow is the reason she's here with us today – but that leg is killing us too.

Of Elephants and Eyebrows: Dovima

The superbly elegant fashion model known as Dovima represents the person who would appear perfectly at ease with the concept of opera gloves - in the supermarket, or on the playground.

Who was Dovima?

DOrothy VIrginia MArgaret Juba. Photographer Richard Avedon called her the last of the "great elegant, aristocratic beauties," and he may have been right. Here she is with our poster child extraordinaire, Audrey Hepburn, on the set of Funny Face:

The arched brown and self-confident glance in this photo (likely by Avedon, though we can't verify it) tell you what you need to know about her:

And this one you may well have seen - definitely by Avedon, and published in Harper's Bazaar (not bizarre...)....Dress by Dior:

From Prada to Eyebrows: Camilla Belle

What's more annoying than more Jane Austen? Jane Austen in Los Angeles! Jesus. Why?

Anyway, this upcoming flick, From Prada to Nada, stars the eyebrows of Camilla Belle, so we had to view the trailer and we are glad we did – the eyeglasses thing is so working for us...Mmm.

Margaux Hemingway, November 1982

Margaux Hemingway, for those too young to know, was the granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway. She was a 6 foot tall model who got into acting as well (like her younger sister Mariel). Margaux took her own life in 1996 at the age of 42.

In the mid-1970s, as a 22 year old, she starred in the film Lipstick, which was supposed to launch her crossover from modeling to acting. But Mariel, who also appeared in the film, is the one who benefited most, and Margaux is said to have felt largely passed over by the results. Either way, the film is really jacked up.

The cover of the November 1982 issue of PHOTO was shot by Mario Scavullo. Not sure if it's suppose to relate to Margaux's film debut, but to us, the brows trump the lipstick anyway.

LIFE Magazine Vintage Eyebrows

This vintage fashionista is not known to us by sight, but the eyebrows hearken back to a bygone era. If eyebrows can even hearken.
