Sandy, Brazilian Musician

There is a woman in Brazil named Sandy Lima who is a pop-star of some kind. She appeared for a long time with her brother, Junior in a kind of South American Osmond family situation. Later she was a soap star, had a TV show with her brother (did I mention the Osmonds?) and was in a movie. She's done magazine photo shoots and so on. Anyway, she's moved on and is now 24 and a college student or something.

But we don't care about that. We care about her eyebrows. I've taken the unusual trouble of posting a series of photos that show her (some at low resolution, sorry) at various stages from mid-teens to very recently. Remarkable brows, I hope you will agree.

He Makes Eva Green Look Good

I hate Eva Green. Even though she has a perfect rack. But Aussie artist Daniel Cox seems obsessed with her. That's good, actually, because in a couple of pieces he makes her look better than she does on screen - by over-emphasizing her eyebrows. At least, in this painting he does.

German photographer Stefan Soell managed to find this beautiful-browed brunette babe and to photograph her for Femjoy, one of those soft-porn sites that pretends to be a "fine art" repository. Whatever. As long as they keep photographing eyebrows like this on faces like this on web sites like that - we'll keep checking back.

We continue our survey of the Suicide Girls, in search of quality eyebrows. Young Hunter has a very nice pair of brows. We hope she eventually pays as much attention to grooming her other hairstyles as she does to managing her brows.

Body Painted Chinese Dragon Lady: Yeah!

Qi Pao is Cantonese for "embroidered Chinese silk dress that looks hot." Here is one painted onto a model at Australian Fashion Week. Yeah, body painted. In other words, naked.

We love the dragon. We love the rack. We love the evil Chinese femme fatale nails. And the fabric button fasteners glued to her body.

But ultimately, all we care about is the eyebrows.

Venti With Room for Milk

According to the Topfree Equal Rights Association, a woman named Nicole Coombs got, uh, busted for breastfeeding at a $tarbux[om] in South Beach, Miami:

June 12, 2006: Right across from topfree South Beach in Miami, about 15 women and their children held a nurse-in yesterday outside a closed Starbucks. Starbucks had insisted a woman leave the store last month, apparently because she was breastfeeding in it. The woman, Nicole Coombs, and her son Brahm were among the participants yesterday.

I am certain that some people were hard-pressed to ignore a woman with features as prominent as Nicole's gorgeous....eyebrows.

A Friend Suggests: Mila Kunis

So check it. A loyal reader of this blog suggests we present the magical brows seen here. They belong to some actress named Mila Kunis. I saw her in Maxim or something a couple of years ago, but to be honest, in that photo spread she was sitting next to another eyebrow hottie, Elisha Cuthbert (who played Kiefer Sutherland's daughter on 24). So I didn't really notice Miss Kunis.

She's worth noticing in these photos though. Don't you think?

As for Miss Cuthbert, she will be appearing soon, in an eyebrow blog near you.

Rania Al-Abdullah, Queen of Jordan

So here's the thing. If you're the king of a country, you can marry anyone you want. And if that's the case, why not pick a hottie with bodacious eyebrows? Huh? HUH? Right. So that's what happened in Jordan. King Abdullah II, a chip off the ol' Hashemite block, selected the lovely Rania Al-Yassin from Kuwait. And we'd say he did alright.

Damn! It's good to be King....

Al Parker's Illustrated Eyebrows

There's an art blog called lines and colors and it's host to a great set of links related to illustrator Al Parker. One of the links is to a flickr set of Parker's work for Cosmopolitan magazine in the early 1950s. He also did ads for American Airlines (see below) and other print media (above, and at bottom)...

Glad he appreciated the graphic design value of a strong but feminine eyebrow.

Beauty Pageant Brows

Everyone gets excited about beauty pageants. This makes about as much sense as watching to see "what the stars are wearing to the Oscars (tm)." Blech. Forget about watching pageants on TV: the tampon commercials get old fast, and you can't see anything up close.

If you want to get the scoop on the ladies, go online and scam the web sites. This is the only way you will see who has the brows to be Miss Universe or Miss World or whatever.

Friends, I have only ever paid for a subscription to one web site, ever: Suicide Girls. Why? Because it's hot, that's why. If you ignore the wacky interface and confusing navigation, if you can handle Flash and like young girls who have no clothes on, this is a great site.

First Niece: Lauren Bush

I read today that President Bush has the same approval rating as Venezuelan microdespot Hugo Chavez - about 25%. This is not a good rating. They should take a cue from 43's niece, vegetarian superhottie Lauren Bush. This is one extraordinary package: fashion model, Princeton student (a senior this year), and all around gorgeous hyperbabe.

Little sister Ashley Bush is a high school senior, so we're looking forward to some eyebrow-intensive college scandal pics in the years to come.

Not sure if Lauren is still dating Ralph Lauren's son, but of course we're dying for them to get married - just for the name. Meanwhile, you can't spell "niece" without N-I-C-E.

Russian Ballerina: Too "fat"?!

A few years ago there was a news story about a Russian ballerina who was fired for being overweight. Anastasia Volochkova. She is 5'6" and weighed 110 pounds! I could lift that without using my hands.

Maybe the reason the male dancers couldn't lift her is that they are bunch of weak cry-babies. And one irony is that the Russian word for "large" is большой - that's Bolshoi, folks - the name of the ballet company that fired her!

Anyway, we don't care about all that. Although the brows in the first picture (below) appear to be more paint than actual eyebrow, we'll give her points for being theatrical - and for being a Russian ballerina. Besides, Anastasia is a such a great name.

The second photo looks a little less painted on. Nice.

The photo gallery on her site is good (it's in Russian), and the four links in the "scroll" section each represents a different gallery. Looks like she's done print ads, magazines and billboards too. Enjoy it.
