Atelier?! That's French!

Retro Atelier is an interesting site. Sort of. The idea is interesting, anyway. The photographers recreate the style and mood of photos from different vintages in history. These two examples are from the Art Nouveau period (hey! That's French!).

They might look old, but the photos are brand spanking new. Or Nouveau. Whatever.

Smells Like Teen Spirit Airlines

If gentlemen prefer blondes, they're missing out. Because (in this picture at least) the blondes aren't the ones with the great eyebrow arch and the exposed left nipple.

There are too many fabric references in this ad from 1953. It confuses us and makes us bleary-eyed. In fact, we're so bleary-eyed we have the distinct impression that this lovely browed model is, in fact, missing her right tit.

We saw a little online ad for singer Demi Lovato and noticed the eyebrows. We don't know who she is, but we did scavenge a few pics from the web.

We like this one because the shades make her brows a little more prominent:


This one just makes her look like a mouthy teen:


And this one has that prima donna-ish quality that screams "Nude iPhone pics of me are just weeks away from being leaked online!"

Van Dalen for Your Post-Holiday Blues

Look, not everybody loves holidays. When the 4th was coming we felt just like the model here, photographed by Marc van Dalen. All.....mmm.


Then the holiday glow left us, and we felt like a skinny girl in granny panties, biting our knuckles.

In America, where our Worldwide Blubrow Global Headquarters is located, today is Independence Day. This is the day we said "No thank you!" to being ruled by a nation that didn't know how to use words like "banger" and "fag."

Speaking of banger (banger?!).... who would would be a more all-American Girl Next Door than our favored Yvonne Craig? We've seen her in green and in purple and gold. Now she's (apparently) getting super-poked from behind by a dude in white pants:
