Photographer Salomé Vorfas

We've been digging the work of photographer Salomé Vorfas. She has a blog and a cool Flickr stream. Oh yeah, and a kickass Tumblr. Cripes, who doesn't have a Tumblr these days?

We don't.

This set appeared in La Fuga magazine in May 2010, and the model is Belén Bergagna.

From Prada to Eyebrows: Camilla Belle

What's more annoying than more Jane Austen? Jane Austen in Los Angeles! Jesus. Why?

Anyway, this upcoming flick, From Prada to Nada, stars the eyebrows of Camilla Belle, so we had to view the trailer and we are glad we did – the eyeglasses thing is so working for us...Mmm.

You Can't Improve Everything

We reviewed this vintage model and thought to ourselves:
  • Hairstyles have improved.
  • Cosmetics have improved.
  • Dentistry has improved.
  • Posture has improved.
But eyebrows...well, see for yourself:

His Baby Girl

Photographer Carlos Nunez captioned this series My Baby Girl. Other than his choice of shoes (see photo 1), we find nothing to argue with in Carlos' choice of baby girl.

Jeronimo!

About ten years ago we went to Argentina.

Cha cha cha.

We don't remember seeing this young lady when we were there, which is just as well because she was almost certainly underage at the time, and we might have ended up in prison. Or worse.

Now though, we can enjoy her (which is good, since we are basically in love with her) via the photography of Jeronimo Laborde.

Sigh....

Jeronimo has a Flickr stream too. Check it.

And We're Back

This buxom lass is just about to get down to business in the spa, and we're getting down to business for 2011. We'll be here faithfully with a blog post every Monday, and more often when breaking eyebrow news warrants.

For now: Happy New Year.

1,500 Posts

We haven't been as frequent with our postings the last few months, but we hope you enjoy what you see.

This is our 1,500th posting since early 2007. That's a lot of copyright violation.

We celebrate with our all-time favorite subject:

Audrey Hepburn.

Props to contributor-reader Jonathan for sharing this with us.

See you in January!

Not Economizing on Eyebrows

We were reading The Economist, because we're so effing smart, and we said aloud, to nobody in particular, "Wha?!?!?" when we saw this.

It's a young Cuban woman, who is featured in the magazine for some reason we cannot remember.

But you certainly know why she is featured here.

The Legacy of Carlo Mollino

One of the by-products of blogging just once a week (instead of every day) is that the focus moves from quantity toward quality. We hope that, while the number of eyebrows and related body parts might be lower overall, the particular choices are more...appreciated. Or noteworthy. Or enjoyable.

We spent a long time this morning reading about the legacy of Italian designer Carlo Mollino. He was diversely talented, with a career spanning architecture, furniture design (the chairs in the photos here are of his creation), photography, and literature. A New York Times article gives some background, but we suggest doing a Google image search for his name and just sitting back and enjoying what crops up.

Meanwhile, we'll be sitting back and enjoying these Italian eyebrows of the 1950s, which Signore Mollino photographed with his unique chairs...
