Photographer Hannes Caspar: That's a Wrap for 2011

Another year crossed off the eyebrow calendar.

Hard to believe. We scaled back our posting this year, to visit you just on Mondays, and this is our final post of the year (we posted 56 times this year, only 1/10 as many times as in 2008!). We hope you enjoyed it.

We'll keep the same schedule for 2012, celebrating our 5th anniversary this coming March! So keep reading, send your favorites and tips, and leave a few more comments.

To close out the year, here's a post-Xmas present: photos by Germany's Hannes Caspar, a photographer who obviously just loves women. As we should.

Saucy Sozzi

Yao! Brazil's model Renata Sozzi has some strong, beautiful eyebrows, and a killer physique (if you're into models, anyway) to go along with them. She also has her own blog.

Greek Baring Gifts: Really, Playboy?

Back in 1965, Playboy broke new ground, with a centerfold who wasn't from the good ol' US of A.

Jessica St. George was from Greece. Unfortunately, the best the editors could manage for a headline was Greek Baring Gifts.

Fine. Fortunately, the title was accurate. As for the personal aspect, when asked to list the people she admired, Ms. St. George name-checked Helen of Troy and JFK.

The Next Bond Girl's Eyebrows

Bond 23 comes out just a little less than a year from now, in November 2012.

"The girl" will be French actrice (that's French!) Berenice Marlohe, seen here looking glam in black and white.

So as you may be able to tell from the action shots, Selena Rose is a porn actress (you're supposed to say "porn star" but we don't really have any idea whether she's a "star" or just another porn woman).

No clue. But Libertarian Magazine chose it for the cover (a wise choice!), so we figure there is some connection.

All we know is that this model's name is Zara and she appeared in an online publication called Errotica.

Hope Solo So Close, But No Go

Long ago (2007!) we wrote about Hope Solo, the goalie on the US soccer team. We said then that she was a loudmouth egoist, and she was.

Fast forward to 2011. We do not know whether she is still the loudmouth she was back then, because we made a point of not really listening to interviews. We just watched the Women's World Cup soccer tournament and enjoyed it. The US couldn't pull it off, losing on penalty kicks. But it was not Hope Solo's fault.

She's taking advantage of her current visibility and making the talk show rounds. That's fine. Here she is on the red carpet at some Entourage event. Brows are still in force.

There are plenty of talented eyebrow ladies out there today, and it's fun to discover new models, actresses, musicians and others who sport the brows we like.

But there's nothing like going back to classic beauties who set an example years ago.

People got up to some zany antics back in the day. Now for all we know, this vintage lady may be the most hideous monster ever to be featured in a photo shoot.

But we don't know – and frankly, we don't care. Because whatever the hell she's doing, she's showing some mighty fine vintage brows.

This ad tickled our eyebrow fancy.

German tit publishers Taschen produced a volume called The Big Book of Breasts. It should probably be called, The Book of Big Breasts.

Anyway, skimming a review, we were taken by the brows, not the boobs, on these three ladies. Painted on for the most part, they make a photo-artistic statement. But we know, as usual, we're the only people whose gaze hit the image above the nipple.
