Your Arms Too Short...

You aren't old enough to recognize that reference in the title of this posting, are you? In fact, you were still dead when Your Arms Too Short To Box With God premiered on Broadway in 1976.

Doesn't matter. But I thought of it when I read that Nelly Furtado learned to play trombone at age 9. Because trombones are standard size, and to learn to play, your arms need to be a certain length. And if you are 5'1" as an adult, like Nelly Furtado is, then I can pretty much guarantee that when you were a nine year old girl, your arms too short to play the trombone.
